A cool and refreshing drink made from cultured milk. Popular in the Near Eastern city-state of Radz-at-Han for its ability to offset the blistering heat of the Thavnairian midday sun.
After you definitely put way too much chili in your moussaka, why not cool down with a refreshing mint lassi? If you do not like the taste of mint, you can replace it with mango or strawberries.
You will need
2-3 handfuls of fresh mint leaves
500 grams of plain full-fat (!) yogurt (approx. 2 cups)
250 milliliters cold water (approx 1 cup)
1-2 Tbs. rose water (to taste)
2-4 Tbs. sweetener (sugar, honey, agave syrup, …)
Optional: pinch of ground cinnamon and ground ginger
Take your trusty mixer and blend all ingredients together until smooth. Serve immediately!
